Library Tutorial: Getting a Book from the OSU Libraries

Finding or Requesting the Book You Want

Getting the book

To get your hands on the actual book, once you know you want it -

If you are in Corvallis or coming to visit - use this list of call number locations to find out where the call number is shelved (the first letter of the call number is what you want).

If you are in Bend or Newport and you want a Valley book, use the Request button at the top of the screen to have the book sent to your library.  (Obviously, if you are in Corvallis and you want a Bend or Newport book, use the same button). Choose your pickup location.

If you are an Ecampus student - The library will mail books to your home address. We ship using FedEx. All you need to do is mail the book back to us by the due date. See our borrowing policies for more details. Once you have located a book in the catalog, click on the Request button in the top left corner. Then choose Extended Campus as your pickup location.
