Guide to OA in the Sciences

A guide for managing authors' rights at OSU has been created for the sciences. Three publishers are highlighted as examplees for the purpose of demonstrating the range of rights they allow - particularly the right to archive your own work online.

How has OA affected OSU

There is a good deal of support for open access at Oregon State.  Many of the activities centered around the ScholarsArchive@OSU, our institutional repository where

  • students contribute their theses and dissertations;
  • faculty deposit pdfs of their recent articles;
  • many units provide access to OSU publications; and
  • It is also a platform for publishing current journals and out of print books.

But, what drives these actions? Are they having an impact?  On this page OSU faculty, staff and students will tell you how open access is making a difference and activities they are pursuing to foster and promote it.

Note this page is currently in-process.
