Getting material from the OSU Libraries
You'll find some information on the Web in full text. Many articles and books you will have to get through the library. Try Newport High School first, and then the OSU Libraries.
You are welcome to visit the OSU's Guin Library at the Hatfield Marine Science Center any weekday between 8 and 5 to use our electronic databases and journals.
You can search the OSU Libraries catalog and request books and some journal articles online. You'll need to be registered with OSU as a borrower to do this. Check with Liz Fox for help with your registration.

Where do you start looking?
- Google ? Try it, but you will probably have to wade through a lot of irrelevant stuff to find something useful and authoritative.
- Google Scholar ? This looks like Google but searches scholarly information mainly written by faculty members of unviersity and government researchers. You'll find information, but may not be able to get to the full text or the complete article.
- Ebsco Academic Search Premiere ? What's this? It's a information resource with articles from over 4500 journals from many disciplines. Many are in full text.
