The Benton County Historical Society exists to document the history of all of Benton County, including its smaller localities. Although its collections may overlap in places with other repositories, such as the Oregon State University Archives, the Benton County Historical Society has a plethora of unique materials, including historic high school yearbooks, phonebooks, maps, city design plans, etc. Additionally, since 2008, BCHS has been the home of the Horner Collection, which contains over 60,000 physical artifacts covering a wide range of topics.
