Start with these:

LitFinder  

• Search for individual works. by author, title, keyword, or topic. 
• Tells where the work was published (in book or magazine) but also includes full text for many works
• Use the OSU Library Catalog to see if we have the book or magazine.  if we don't, see if you can borrow it through Summt (books only) or InterLibrary Loan

 

Google Books  

• Find books in which a work was published. 
• Use the "Find this book in library" link to see which libraries have it.  Show me 

Academic Search Premier

• Use to see if a work was published in a magazine

 

Sometimes you can find an individual work in a catalog by searching for its title.  Or you seach by the name of the poet, playwright or author and see if a catalog record for her/his works includes a table of contents.

• Summit (Orbis Cascades) Catalog   Shared catalog of academic libraries in Oregon and Washington. Books requested delivered in 3-4 working days. 
• WorldCat  Catalog of libraries worldwide. Use Interlibrary Loan link to request books not at OSU  or in Summit 

Use to find the name of a book that includes the work you want. Use the OSU and Summit Catalogs to locate a copy of the book.
