Found Object Guidelines

Draw a subject from the animal world: anything that runs, trots, shuffles, crawls, flies, slinks, paddles, burrows, swims or lurches...EXCEPT human beings.

Identify its physical properties: basic form or shape, proportions, dominant characteristics or features, signature posture, prevalent attitude, surface texture or patterning of hair/fur/feathers/scales/etc., color if relevant. 

Use morphology views to see the structure and trace interior support systems.

Find Drawings in Valley Library

There are several ways to find drawings in Valley Library:

1.  Specific books

2.  Search the Library Catalog for the name of your creature and, in parentheses, add (morphology or anatomy).  Ex: bees and (morphology or anatomy)

3. Browse the shelves in the QL's (1st Floor):
