• Communication Abstracts  Published by CIOS (Communication Institute for Online Scholarship)  Articles, reports, papers and books in communication studies and related disciplines such as public opinion, new media, etc.   Journals  indexed
• Academic Search Premier  All topics; not as comprehensive as the subject-specific databases but a good starting point.  Limit to scholarly journals.
• Social Science Citation Index (Web of Science) Unique, and very useful, feature is cited reference searching to identify sources which have cited earlier studies. Click here for a tutorial on cited reference searching

• CSA Linguistic and Language Behavior Abstracts  All aspects of the study of language
• MLA International Bibliography  Rhetoric and language studies.

Interpersonal Communication

• PsycInfo  The most comprehensive resource for the study of psychology.
• Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection  Includes over 500 peer-reviewed journals, many in full text.
• Sociological Abstracts  The most comprehensive resource for the study of sociology

Scholar'sArchive :  Electronic copies of OSU theses and dissertations.  2007 - present. 

Dissertation Abstracts   Dissertations and Masters Theses completed at US institutions.  If you find a dissertation you're interested in, use ILL to request it. Be aware, though, that not all libraries will lend them.  If you can't borrow a dissertation from another library, you can purchase a copy from Proquest/UMI.

OSU Libraries Catalog  Books in Valley Library and OSU branch libraries.  If a book isn't available from OSU, use "Try Summit Libraries" to borrow it from another library.

Summit/WorldCat Catalog Request books not available at OSU and have them sent to Valley Library, usuall within 3-4 working days.
