al-Bab: Arabic Literature, an introduction Includes pre-Islamic literature, folk literature, modern literature.  Also includes links to arts and architecture of the Middle East.

A Core Bibliography on Islam, the Middle East & North Africa (Cornell University).  Includes secions on literatures in general, early Persian literature, oral narrative, epics, and more.

Islam: An Introduction  Includes a cultural timeline of the Islamic world

Voices from the Gap: Women Artists & Writers of Color

Tales from the 1001 Nights  Texts of different versions (Burton, Dixon, Lang, Payne, Scott). An Images Index includes over 200 Middle Eastern and European illustrations collected to illustrate the stories.
