What's included in 1Search?

  • All the materials from the OSU Libraries catalog, such as books, videos, government documents, maps, sound recordings, music scores, etc.
  • Scholarly journal articles, newspaper and magazine articles from over 62,000 sources. Much of this content is full-text.
  • Resources from the OSU Libraries digital collections, such as OSU theses and dissertations in ScholarsArchive.

There are some resources in the OSU Libraries that will not be found in this search engine. Please consult with an OSU Librarian for resources not available with this search.

Additional Places to Get Help

Most of the questions you will have about your research process will come up as you are actually doing research. There are many ways you can get help with your research questions:

ILPs

The ILPs, or library tutorials, will be assigned throughout the course. They will help you get started in your research. They are relatively short and each has a brief quiz. Check your course syllabus for due dates

You will also complete a pre and post assessment. Don't worry, you get all your points just for completing these.
