Simply copy-and-paste the code for the particular video file or widget - most websites will provide you with detailed instructions on which code you need to embed. The snippet will usually start with object or embed tags.

Flickr

• Log in to your Flickr account
• Go to make a badge (http://www.flickr.com/badge.gne)
• Decide if you want a dynamic or static badge - you may have local restrictions to consider
• A static badge will be more accessible
• Choose your photos and your layout
• Preview and get code
• Copy and paste the code.

del.icio.us

• Log in to your delicious.com account and click on Settings.
• Choose link rolls if you would like your widget to display a list of your recent bookmarks.  Choose tag rolls if you would like your widget to display a ltag cloud.
• Choose your settings (how many links to display, order, etc.) - your widget will preview in the pane to the right.
• When you have what you want, copy and paste the code.
• Your tagroll or linkroll will not be accessbile to students using screenreaders, so include a link to your Delicious account as an alternative.

Facebook

• Scroll to the the bottom of your Facebook profile, click the link Create a profile badge.
• Click "Create a new badge."
• Choose your layout.  Choose "image" or "javascript" JavaScript may make your page slower to load and it will not be accessible to screen readers. Image badges are more stable, but will not display dynamic information like status updates.
• Choose the information you would like your widget to display
• After saving, copy and paste the code.

Meebo

• Go to www.meebome.com.
• Name your widget, and provide your Meebo username.
• Choose your display settings.
• Log on to Meebo.
• Copy and paste the code.

Google Reader

• from your Google Reader account (reader.google.com), go to Manage Subscriptions (at the bottom of the left-side column)
• Click on the Folders and Tags tab.
• Choose the folder, or the tag you would like to share, and choose "public" from the "Change Sharing" drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
• You should see 3 links - view public page, email a link, or add a clip.  Add a clip will give you the code to copy and paste.
