Mintel Market Research Reports
Each report combines data & analysis of the competitive landscape, market share analysis and consumer profiles. You can repeat the search in news and other databases.
- You will first need to create a profile with your email address.
- Do a quick search on the name of your store or select advanced searh and limit to a category (ex: clothing) and region (ex: US)
- Save your searches and return to them later.

Register and create a login and password in order to look at the reports.
Retail Mix Analysis: Finding Secondary Sources
Collect information on the customer market served and the retail mixes used by each retailer. Collect information by consulting secondary sources (i.e., newspaper, trade magazines and business research articles about the stores, about industry trends, etc.)
Note: In the case of small independently owned stores where no information is available about the specific store, you can still find valuable information and analysis about the store format and category of merchandise.)
Information for specific retailers
Company, industry, and market information for 14 milion private and public companies. Not all information is freely available, but you will find much that is useful. Hoover's Reports are also available on the LexisNexis Academic database. (Select Businessompany Profiles. Use the sources pull-down menu to select Hoover's.)
